Text: 2 Timothy 2.11-13
How would you feel if you were imprisoned and facing the end of your life? This is an interesting question. Would you feel hopeless or hopeful? In this lesson, we examine Paul's trustworthy hope, expressed in his farewell letter to Timothy and as we do, remember that this trustworthy hope is the hope that all those in-Christ (Christians) share.

Text: Psalm 130
In this Bible class we examine a cry for mercy from a man in troubled times and find that his despair is turned to hope on the basis of the covenant God of Israel. As people who similarly find themselves in times of difficulty, it is a helpful reminder that "with the LORD is abundant redemption". Assignment: Read Psalm 29 for next week's class. Summarize each strophe and write a one sentence summary of the psalm. We will compare notes next week.
Text: Hebrews 10.23
In this lesson, we explore the nature of hope and how the Christian hope differs from the world's brand of hope (hint: it's a theological difference). This is an important reminder in light of the current situation in our country.

Assignment: Read Psalm 130 for next week's class. Summarize each strophe and write a one sentence summary of the psalm. We will compare notes next week.
Text: Matthew 28.6
In Matthew's account of Jesus' resurrection we find what is arguable the most amazing sentence ever uttered. On this Easter, we will examine this sentence and see what makes it so amazing.
Text: 3 John 13-15
Just a few thoughts on how much I miss gathering as a church and a simple request as we go forward.
