Is it possible for a blind man to see? Today, we consider that question, and the dangers of spiritual blindness, by examining Jesus' interaction with a blind man outside the town of Jericho in Luke 18.

It's easy to get the wrong picture about something or someone because we often try to fill-in the blanks with best guesses. This kind of guessing is fraught with peril and easily creates the wrong picture, a distorted picture, of the other person. This is something Jesus himself faced. Today, we consider the example of Eli & Hannah and warn against a cynical filling in of the blanks about other people.

Ahead of our family meeting discussing local outreach efforts, we consider the worthiness of Christ to be proclaimed throughput the world (and in our own town & county). Paul had a thing or two to say about this to Timothy and the church's role in proclaiming Christ.
