Mad Libs are a fun and outlandish way to spend time with your kids. But no one who claims to be Christian would ever knowingly seek to do that with the Bible because changing one simple (even mundane) word can impact salvation history. In this lesson we consider what changing one simple word in Acts 2.38 does for how one responds to the Gospel.

Substitute brands are just cheaper knockoffs of the genuine article - lesser in quality, flavor, or durability. As such, the old adage "accept no substitutes" makes sense from a consumer perspective. But we dare not apply this same thinking to things of spiritual importance! Sounds counterintuitive? Jesus would like a word!
