Substitute brands are just cheaper knockoffs of the genuine article - lesser in quality, flavor, or durability. As such, the old adage "accept no substitutes" makes sense from a consumer perspective. But we dare not apply this same thinking to things of spiritual importance! Sounds counterintuitive? Jesus would like a word!
