It's easy to become consumed by the trivial things when it comes to the church, especially when it comes to preachers & teachers. It's easy for preference or cult of personality to take precedence over weightier issues. However, in writing the church in Corinth (a church struggling with this very issue), he leaves a reminder for us to focus on the important thing: Jesus Christ and Him crucified!
