It's easy to get the wrong picture about something or someone because we often try to fill-in the blanks with best guesses. This kind of guessing is fraught with peril and easily creates the wrong picture, a distorted picture, of the other person. This is something Jesus himself faced. Today, we consider the example of Eli & Hannah and warn against a cynical filling in of the blanks about other people.
