You will findthe Woodland church of Christ to be friendliest groups of people you have ever encountered, filled with love and compassion as we seek to manifest Christ-likeness in our lives. Are we perfect? No. We are simply fallible people that need the continued forgiveness found only in Jesus.
You will find a church that seeks to cut through centuries of tradition in order to try to get back to the practice of the New Testament church. This means we use the Bible, specifically the New Testament, as our sole guide for worship. The worship and practice is simple and patterned off of God's plan.
You will find our services to be conducted in an orderly and reverent manner. These services include public prayer led by the men of the church, acapella singing using our hearts and voices as the living instrument of praising God as the New Testament church did. You will hear a lesson that is relevant and based on God's word. We partake of the Lord's Supper every Lord's Day (Sunday) as exemplified by the New Testament church as a remembrance of the great sacrifice of Jesus on the cross. During the services we also take up a free-will contribution that goes to support the ongoing work of the Woodland church in Western North Carolina and elsewhere.
