FTM-005: Appalachian Poetry & Scripture

We consider something the Appalachians are not necessarily known for - poetry! Our area has a rich history of poetry, inspired by our beautiful surroundings and the difficulty of life in the mountains. How can this help us develop eyes that better see the blessings of God? And how can it help is come to a better appreciation of biblical poetry?

FTM-004: Captain Victory & Value

In a desperate effort to avoid political conversation on Election Day, we consider comics. Specifically, Jack Kirby, his style, and his influence on the comic industry and the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). But rather than focus on his hits, we will consider my love for Captain Victory (perhaps the worst series in the history of comics. Is there something we learn from this when we view the topic "from the mountain"? Absolutely!

Originating from the mountains of western North Carolina, this Bible podcast is for all people, but specifically for those who live in and love these beautiful hills... and who love the LORD who made them.
